My specialties
While I specialize in eCommerce development along side full native iOS Development (objective-c and swift), it has always been extremely important to me to be able to take a project all the way from idea to deployment. That’s why while many developers specialize in one aspect of development or platform, I have exhaustively researched the best tool for each major use case. I’d love to say hello and tell you what I can do to help you start your business or grow the one you already have.

A little about me
I was born in Asheville, NC, and have spent the last 8 years building web and mobile applications for a variety of platforms. Having existed in the freelance software development space for the majority of that time, my resulting skill set is diverse and spans from building software-as-a-service applications for startups to full-stack development in the eCommerce space. I'm also no stranger to running marketing campaigns, optimizing for SEO, and crafting user-onboarding strategies. I endeavor, for all intents and purposes, to be the digital swiss army knife that propels every brand or startup I work with to the next level and beyond.

I've enjoyed teaching for some great organizations
For me, software development and teaching have always gone hand-in-hand. The spark when a complex idea clicks for the first time is one of my favorite things to witness and is the reason I endeavor to continue teaching in one way or another for the duration of my career.
Kind words
My Javascript game would not have leveled up if it weren’t for Cory. I attended a Javascript App Development course for Tech Talent South that he taught, and he created an easy-going atmosphere that partnered well with his extensive coding knowledge to make learning easy. Watch out, though — his love for creating charts is infectious. Sean O’Daniels Web Developer, King’s Bio
Cory instructed my JavaScript App Development class for Tech Talent South in the fall of 2017. He was an awesome instructor! He explained complex concepts in an easy to understand manner and handled questions well making sure the whole class understood before moving on. He was able to keep the class engaged and excited about the material throughout the entire course. He has great in-depth knowlsedge of many different programming languages as well as other computer science concepts. I learned SO MUCH from him and owe him a great deal for where I am now in my career. I would highly recommend Cory to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and personable developer/instructor in the future. Sarah Ney Software Engineer, Anthroware
I was fortunate to have Cory as the instructor for my JavaScript Application Development course through Tech Talent South. It was clear throughout the course that he has a vast knowledge of programming in vanilla JS as well as in other frameworks our class learned, including jQuery, Redux, React, and React Native. He offered helpful tools to continue my education in these frameworks beyond the classroom and was always there to provide extra guidance. Thanks to Cory’s personality, lessons were fun and I always looked forward to going to class. Cory is genuinely interested in seeing his students succeed, and I would recommend him as a teacher or mentor to anyone learning application and/or web development. Emily Cotter Web Developer, Riverside Technology
Cory made our intensive 8-week coding class a joy! He made himself incredibly available, going above and beyond his job description. In teaching, Cory brought the perfect balance of helpfulness and student independence to his methods. His knowledge was impressive and if he didn’t know it, he figured it out quickly! The class was fun and challenging, and Cory gave us each confidence in our abilities. I would absolutely recommend any class he teaches. Jeannette Peck Junior Software Engineer, Tiltworks
